BJP denies report about Advani not canvassing in Bihar polls

New Delhi, Oct.16 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) denied the reports about the party’s top leader Lal Krishna Advani not campaigning for the candidates in the ensuing Bihar polls.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said that certain vested interests are spreading these rumours whereas Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has welcomed Advani to canvass for the candidates of the BJP and Janata Dal (United) alliance.
“That the JD-U (Janata Dal-United) has reservations about campaigning by Mr. L. K. Advani is totally misleading and false. About a week back, Nitish Kumar and Sharad Yadav had publicly announced that Advani should come for campaigning. He will be welcomed,” said Prasad.
Commenting on Congress party General Secretary Rahul Gandhi’s recent accusations about Bihar’s development, Prasad said that Congress was a part of all the scandals that took place during Lalu Prasad’s regime of Rashtriya Janata Dal.
“The misadministration and scams that took place in Bihar– Congress was a part of the administration. Congress is guilty of not only conspiracy of silence, but willing assistance,” said Prasad.
