Bihar employees protest over non-implementation of Sixth Pay Commission recommendations
August 23rd, 2010 - 5:18 pm ICT by ANIPatna, Aug 23 (ANI): Bihar Government employees went on an indefinite strike here on Monday over their demand for implementation of Sixth Pay Commission recommendations.
The Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation called the strike in support of their seven-point charter of demands.
Employees of the State Secretariat did not join the ongoing strike, but issued an ultimatum to the government to have the grievances redressed within a fortnight or else they too would join the strike. (ANI)
