Beyonce wants to become the first black Wonder Woman
November 8th, 2008 - 1:42 pm ICT by ANIWashington, November 8 (ANI): Beyonce Knowles thinks its high time the screen saw its first black Wonder Woman and is keen on playing the superhero.
The 27-year-old superstar, who has previously starred in box office hits such as The Pink Panther and the Dreamgirls while continuing to be a consistently successful singer, said that she would love to be a black Wonder Woman.
“What would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’’s time for that, right? the People quoted her as telling the Los Angeles Times.
The R&B songwriter further added that it would be a dream-come-true if she played the iconic character donning the classic red, white and blue bathing suit on the big screen.
She said: But I love Wonder Woman and it”d be a dream come true to be that character. It sure would be handy to have that lasso. (ANI)
