New Delhi, Feb 8 (ANI): China has protested against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh last month.
Reports said that a verbal protest was lodged in Beijing.
On his maiden visit to Arunachal Pradesh, Dr Singh had announced several projects for the State and remarked that the State was ‘our land of the rising sun’.
China has reportedly conveyed to India that it was not proper to make such comments at a time when the two countries were engaged in talks over the boundary question.
China has been laying claim over large parts of the State and the two countries are holding talks to resolve the issue. (ANI)
