Baba Mastan Shah’s mausoleum becomes epitome of communal harmony
October 12th, 2009 - 6:28 pm ICT by ANIBhopal, Oct. 12 (ANI): People from all faiths and religions gathered at the mausoleum of Muslim saint Baba Mastan Shah in Madhya Pradesh to observe his Urs or death anniversary.
Situated in the Chhatarpur district of the state, the mausoleum has become a symbol of communal harmony.
The annual Urs is an one important occasion, as people from all faiths come to seek his blessings.
“People of all faiths and religions come here from across the country. They come with empty hands and go back with their wishes fulfilled,” said Shahid Rehman Khan, a devotee.
All devotees contribute and lend assistance to making the Urs a successful event.
“Everybody does his bit to make this Urs successful,” said Sunil, another devotee.
The devotees believe that praying at the mausoleum will rid them of all their problems.(ANI)
