Australia mulls sending counter terror experts to PakJune 24th, 2008 - 12:31 pm ICT by ANI
Lahore , June 24 (ANI): The Australian government is reportedly planning to send counter-terrorism experts to Pakistan to contain the spread of extremism.
Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith said that extremism and the movement of insurgents into neighbouring Afghanistan were a problem for Pakistan , and that the Australian government was in the early stages of discussing the matter with Pakistani officials, reported the Daily Times.
I had a conversation with the Pakistani foreign minister in Paris at the donors conference, Smith said and added that the issue was of acute interest to the international community. (ANI)
