Aurangabad Medical College vandalized over poor facilities
February 22nd, 2011 - 2:34 pm ICT by ANIAurangbad, Feb.22 (ANI): Medical students in Aurangabad vandalized their college and hostel property while protesting against the lack of facilities in campus.
The students of the government run institution complained that college provided no security to students and lacked basic facilities such as clean drinking water, sanitation, electricity and proper food.
“As you can see, this place is not secure at all. Any body who is not even a student here comes inside and lives in the hostel. Also there are hygiene issues. There is no water in the toilets. We use the drinking water for toilets as well.” said a student.
Students protested against the apathy of administration in addressing the problems faced by them.
The agitated students torched furniture and vandalized water cooler and other articles in the hostel.
The college administration took help of the local police to control the situation. (ANI)
