Attack on Yasin Malik in Ajmer triggers protests in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 11 (ANI): At least five persons were injured, when protestors clashed with the police here on Friday over reports that Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front leader Yasin Malik was attacked by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists in Ajmer.
According to reports, two policemen were also injured in the incident when the protestors pelted stones at the police personnel to mark their protest in Srinagar’s Maisuma area.
The police later police lobbed teargas shells to disperse the protestors.
The BJP followers attacked Malik on Wednesday during his Ajmer visit. The BJP activists protesting against Yasin Malik’s visit demanded that he leave the city immediately.
Malik, however, escaped unhurt. (ANI)
