New York, June 15 (ANI): With each passing day, its getting harder to be a Viagra user, thanks to the arrival of the erectile-dysfunction drug in professional sports.

The price of the pills has seen a steep rise since the time they were used as performance-enhancers by many athletes.

Like many other people, 77-year-old Bob from Rhode Island also blames athletes for the economic hardships hes facing because of the price rise of Viagra.

I think athletes are driving up the price. Its like gasoline, the New York Daily News quoted Bob, as saying.

You dont know how high it will go, he added.

The New York Daily News spoke to a Pfizer spokesman, incidentally, who said the company was unaware of athletes using the drug as a performance-enhancer, but pointed out that it is a prescription drug and shouldnt be used for off-label purposes.

The spokesman was unaware of the price increase. (ANI)
