November 22nd, 2009 - 2:59 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Guwahati, Nov 22 (ANI): Assam Police on Sunday suspected the involvement of nine most wanted United Liberation Front of Assom (ULFA) terrorists behind the Nalbari serial blasts.
Earlier in the day, three-bomb blasts in Nalbari killed five people and left over 30 people injured.
Assam police, insist that the outfit was desperately trying to carry out a few strikes in the run-up to their protest day on Friday.
They suspect that Sunday’s blasts can be a reaction to the recent arrests of some senior leaders, including Sasha Choudhury and Chitrabon Hazarika.
On November 17, a blast took place on the railway tracks near Changpool in Golaghat district leading to the burning of train wagons carrying fuel from Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. (ANI)
