Aretha Franklin leaves fans sweating during non-AC gig
September 1st, 2008 - 7:20 pm ICT by ANI - Send to a friend:Washington, Sept 1 (ANI): American singer Aretha Franklin forced her fans to break a sweat during her New York gig, for she feared that the air conditioner would destroy her sultry voice.
Sources have revealed that the Respect singer feared that the coolant would wreck havoc on her voice.
“Even Aretha’’s security was complaining about the heat in the car on the way to the concert,” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, DMI Records has announced that the 66-year-old singer’’s holiday album will be out October 14.
According to the record label, the collection will feature classic and contemporary holiday favourites, and songs infused with Arethas trademark gospel, soul, R&B.
