Ajmer, Nov 22 (ANI): Oscar winning musician A. R. Rahman has urged the people to keep the surroundings of the Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Dargah here clean.
He made this request during his visit to the Dargah on Saturday.
Speaking to the newsmen, Rahman said: “We get lot of spiritual benefits and we find peace here, but outside it is horrible it is really unhealthy. There is food being sold in a shop underneath a live running drainage, its all stinking, so I got some of my friends here to help me out in this kind of thing where and the people here really want this place clean.”
“Government wants this place this place clean. It is just to facilitate the intentions across as a bridge and I hope it happens, God willing,” he added.
The noted music director offered prayers at the Dargah along with sound technician Resul Pookutty, also an Oscar winner, and filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor.
