Srinagar, Aug 5 (ANI): The sevenweek long annual Amaranath yatra is concluding today, with holy mace of Lord Shiva reaching the shrine from Panchtarni.
On Tuesday, the holy mace, ‘Charri Mubarak’ was brought to Panchtarni from Sheshnag.
Meanwhile, the last two batches of this year’s pilgrimage, consisting of 577 devotees from the Baltal route and 10 devotees from the Pahalgam route have left for the 3,880-meter high shrine cave.
The yatra was conducted smoothly amidst high security. This year over 400,000 pilgrims visited the shrine.
The Amarnath Shrine Board, the Jammu and Kashmir Government and security agencies monitored this year’s pilgrimage. (ANI)
