London, Oct 10 (ANI): JR Hildebrands is taking a 760-pound pumpkin to the water to paddle 150 miles for charity.

Hildebrands, who has been wining the Wisconsin’’s Nekoosa Great Pumpkin Race for few years, has enough space in the gourd for a chair, small propane heater and himself.

The eight-day trek will raise money for a noble charity, which aims at granting memorable trips to children with special needs.

“We”ve sent children to Disney Land, or Disney World. We”ve sent them to NASCAR races, we”ve even sent one little girl to Jamaica on a cruise and I wanted to take it a step further,” The Telegraph quoted Hildebrandt, as saying.

Hildebrandt is more than confident about reaching the final destination, but admits “the smell may get bad for a while”.

John Flodstrom, who is helping tow the craft out of the river at various stopping places along the route, praised his colleague’’s ingenuity.

“I thought he was crazy. I give him a lot of credit for what he’’s doing but I”m glad he’’s in the pumpkin and not me, John said. (ANI)
