Ambika Soni condoles untimely death of NFAI Director Jadhav

New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni has condoled the untimely death of National Film Archive of India (NFAI) Director Vijay Jadhav, an Indian Information Service Officer of the 1995 batch.
“I am deeply shocked to learn about the untimely demise of Shri Vijay Jadhav, an Indian Information Service Officer, Director, National Film Archives of India. His untimely death has left a void in this Ministry which would be very difficult to fill,” said Soni.
“I had the opportunity to observe Shri Jadhav’s work during our discussions on setting up of National Film Heritage Mission. His professionalism remained unmatched and committed to the tasks assigned to him from time to time. He had a vision for restoring the socio-cultural heritage of this country through the medium of films. I was deeply impressed with his innovative ideas and his ability to lead from the front,” she added.
Ambika Soni further said the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will always acknowledge Jadhav’s contribution in establishing the mission’s vision during the centenary celebrations of Indian Cinema in 2013.
“The National Film Heritage Mission is expected to be completed by 2013. My Ministry shall always acknowledge Shri Jadhav’s contribution in establishing the mission’s vision during the centenary celebrations of Indian Cinema in 2013,” said Soni.
“We hope to fulfill his unfinished dreams in the realm of preservation and conservation. I pray to God to give the family the necessary strength to overcome the crisis,” she added.
Vijay Jadhav breathed his last on Monday morning after suffering a major cardiac arrest. (ANI)
