Ambani rejects Newcastle talks
August 5th, 2008 - 2:16 pm ICT by ANI - Send to a friend: London, Aug.5 (ANI): Reliance Communications Chairman and Managing Director Anil Ambani has denied he is buying the English football club Newcastle United. According to The Sun, Ambani, the sixth richest man in the world, was understood to have given Toon owner Mike Ashley a weeks deadline to accept a 260-million pound offer.
Now it turns out that Ambani is not in talks with the Tyneside club. A company statement read: There are no such plans.” (ANI)
