Agarpara/Vedic village resort (WB), Mar 6 (ANI): Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is busy as a bee shooting for her upcoming movie ”Ravana” at Agarpara, a suburb on outskirts of Kolkata.
The actress has been shooting for this movie here since February 17 while her husband Abhishek Bachchan too has joined the sets recently.
The shooting is expected to continue till mid-March.
In a candid chat with the media persons, she narrated how she has been having a hectic schedule to complete this movie in Hindi and Tamil under Mani Ratnam’’s direction.
Reportedly, the cast and crew members of the film have been shooting almost continuously near the banks of River Hooghly for over a fortnight.
When asked about her role in the movie, she said that she was not too sure about the length of her part in the film.
“I don”t know the length of my role, eventually even in this movie will be. But I am working in Hindi and Tamil versions. So, I am probably the most hard worked because while on the set, I don”t get a break. When they finish doing the Hindi version, I am still there. The rest of the cast will change. I will be doing the Tamil version. So my days are really long,” she said.
Ratnam has chosen Saheb Kothi, an old Zamindar Bari (mansion of landed gentry of yore) on the banks of River Hooghly at Agarpara, in North 24-Parganas District. He has kept the unit and the locale strictly out of media glare.
While Abhishek stars in the Hindi version, southern star Prithviraj Sukumar plays the lead role in the Tamil version.
Ratnam is playing all cards close to his heart and no one seems to have a clue about the film, except that it is a modern day ”Ramayana” interpreted in true Ratnam style.
The actress has several dance scenes in the movie and she was seen practicing her steps. The dances are being choreographed by danseuse-actor Shobhana. (ANI)
