Air Marshal N. A. K. Browne takes over as new Indian Air Force vice-chief
January 1st, 2011 - 2:30 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Jan.1 (ANI): Air Marshal N. A. K. Browne took over as the new vice chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF) here on Saturday.
Air Marshal Browne laid a wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyoti.
He succeeds Air Marshal P. K. Barbora, who retired on Friday.
Air Marshal Browne was earlier in command of the Delhi-based Western Air Command where he has been succeeded by Air Marshal D. C. Kumaria.
Air Marshal Kumaria took change of the post on Friday.
Air Marshal Browne has flown a variety of fighter jets, including the vintage Hunter, all variants of MiG-21s, Jaguar and SU-30MKI and held key posts in the Indian Air Force. (ANI)
