Air India plane New Delhi, Oct 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a very disgusting incident, the pilots and crewmembers of an Air India flight got into a full-scaled brawl with each other. The safety of the IC 884 Sharjah-Delhi flight and the 107 passengers on board was compromised when the cockpit was left unattended for some time too.

An Air India hostess Komal was allegedly abused and molested when she went into the cock-pit, and the incident took an ugly turn from there.

Crewmembers threw punches and hurled abuse in full view of 106 passengers after airhostesses accused one of the co-pilots on flight IC-844 of molesting her, say Indian media reports. At one point, the cockpit of the Airbus A320 was even left unmanned, and one of the pilots threatened to land the plane in Pakistan, over which it was flying at that moment.

The airline officers said they had registered a case against two pilots who were identified as Commander Ranbeer Arora and Captain Aditya Chopra , on suspicion of committing “assault or use of criminal force against a woman with intent to outrage her modesty”

All the four involved in the brawl have been suspended and an inquiry investigation is under way to determine what transpired actually.

Girija Vyas, chief of National Commission for Women (NCW), reacting on the issue of the airhostess has said that if they receive any complaint from the airhostess, they would mediate to resolve the matter like they have done in the past.
