Advani to kick off BJP’s Lok Sabha campaign in Kanpur today

Kanpur, June 27 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate L K Advani will address a rally titled “Vijay Sankalp” here today as a part of his party campaign for the Lok Sabha Election 2009.
This will be Advani’s first visit to Kanpur a day after the party finalised its candidates from six Lok Sabha constituencies.
Advani will contest from Gandhinagar in Gujarat. He has won four times from Gandhinagar. In Punjab, Navjot Singh Siddhu will contest from Amritsar, and Vinod Khanna from Gurdaspur.
Sripad Naik has been assigned North Goa (Panji) and Lieutenant General T.P.S. Rawat will contest from Garhwal (Pauri) in Uttarakhand.
Anurag Thakur will contest from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. The BJP plans to announce all seats by the end of August. (ANI)
