- Mumbai, Oct.12 (ANI): Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor was on Tuesday booked for violating the Model Code of Conduct during a camapign stop six days ago.
Returning officer, Yashwant Tidke, of the Malad West constituency, on Thursday had lodged a complaint of poll code violation against Kapoor.
Kapoor was campaigning for a Congress candidate in Malwani on October 6 where he said, `Virodhiyon ko dhakke marke nikal do. Unki kamar tod do.’ (Those who are opposed to us, should be pushed out of our way. We must break their backs).
“We found this to be a violation. He also used vulgar language,’ said Tidke.
The BJP and the Third Front objected to it and had complained to the Election Commission. (ANI)
