45 feared dead in Bihar boat capsize

Bihar July 2: ANI) At least 45 people are feared to have drowned after the boat in which they were crossing turbulent Gandhak river in Bihar’s west Champaran District capsized.
The boat had 65 passengers on board when it capsized near Ghoria Ghat. The boat was sailing towards Bhagwanpur from Ranha village.
District officials have so far confirmed the death of three persons, including two children.
The Bihar government has announced compensation of Rs one lakh to the next kin of each of the dead.
Search and rescue operations are still on.
