London, Sept 17 (ANI): A 20-year-old man, who is just 29 inches tall and weighs just 16lb, has entered the Guinness World Records book for being the worlds shortest man.

He Pingping is the same height as an average one-year-old child, but weight wise a one-year-old child weighs more than him.

Pingping is from Inner Mongolia, and upon being discovered he was taken on a tour to the UK.

The little man comes from a poverty stricken area, and is said to be suffering from a rare disease called primordial dwarfism.

When Pingping was born, he was no bigger than his fathers palm, and had to be fed through a tiny straw because his mouth was so small.

Pingpings life changed after his brother-in-law Liu spoke to a local journalist about him, and they contacted Guinness.

For someone his size, he sure faces a lot of problems, especially where clothes are concerned, to clothe himself, Pingping has to buy clothes from childrens stores.

So naturally the first stop was at a top tailor in Londons posh Savile Row, where Simon Cundy, of Henry Poole Bespoke Tailors, who have made suits for Churchill and George VI, said Pingping was the shortest person they had ever measured.

His inside leg is just 111/2in and his chest is just 20in, the Sun quoted him as saying.

It would take less than a metre of cloth to make a suit for Pingping whereas it takes about three and a half metres for an average-sized man, he added.

On his visit to Buckingham Palace, Pingping found that the guards outside looked like giants to him, with even the guardsmens famous 18 inches bearskin hats being almost as tall as the little man himself.

Despite his growing reputation, Pingpings ambitions are fairly modest.

I just want to have a normal life, get married and have children, he said. (ANI)
