22 die in Kashmir road accident
September 13th, 2011 - 11:23 pm ICT by IANSJammu, Sep 13 (IANS) At least 22 people were killed and 24 injured when a minibus carrying them skidded off the road in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday afternoon, police said.
While 16 people died on the spot, the others succumbed to their injuries in various hospitals.
The accident took place around 2.30 p.m. in Digdol, about 160 km from here, on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.
A police officer said the driver was over-speeding and lost control of the vehicle.
