2 killed, 11 injured after water pipeline falls on moving train in Mumbai
October 23rd, 2009 - 6:31 pm ICT by ANIMumbai, Oct 23 (ANI): At least two persons including the local train driver were killed and eleven others injured when a water pipeline along with part of a bridge fell on a moving train between Mulund and Thane station disrupting train services on the Central Line in Mumbai.
According to reports, the motorman is said to be still stuck. Rescue teams are trying to cut through the metal of his cabin to reach him.
All train services between Thane and Kurla have been halted following the mishap.
According to sources, the water pipeline was on an under-construction bridge. (ANI)
