15 pilgrims killed in Jammu bus accident (Second Lead)
July 15th, 2012 - 5:54 pm ICT by IANSJammu, July 15 (IANS) At least 15 people were killed and more than 18 injured when a bus carrying pilgrims returning from the Amarnath shrine fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir Saturday night, police said.
The incident occurred at 11.30 p.m. after the bus skidded off the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Digdole, 165 km from here, they said.
Ten bus passengers died on the spot and the rest at a hospital in Ramban, where the injured were taken.
Police said some of the passengers were missing and they were searching for them.
