14 people injured as two groups clash in Agra
December 23rd, 2009 - 2:52 pm ICT by ANIAgra, Dec 23 (ANI) : At least 14 people were injured when villagers and followers of a religious sect clashed over the possession of land in the Lalgarhi area near here on Wednesday.
Locals of Lalgarhi allegedly attacked satsangis of the Radhasoami Sect, when they came to the village to collect both food and water.
According to police, the clash between the two sides took place over the possession of several acres of land in the area.
The protesters also burnt a bus and a jeep.
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Aditya Mishra, security forces have been rushed to spot of incident and the situation is presently under control. (ANI)
