Woman dies of swine flu in Himachal
December 22nd, 2009 - 10:24 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Shimla, Dec 22 (IANS) One patient died of influenza A (H1N1) in Himachal Pradesh, taking the state’s toll to 11, officials said Tuesday.
A woman of Bhoranj town in Hamirpur district died Tuesday due to the H1NI virus at the Regional Hospital in Hamirpur, swine flu nodal officer Vinod Mehta said.
The woman was admitted to the hospital Monday, he said.
One more positive case of the virus was admitted to Shimla’s Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital Tuesday.
Mehta said that the patient belonged to Karsog in Mandi district.
So far, Himachal Pradesh has reported 11 swine flu deaths and 36 positive cases.
