Woman dies of swine flu in Delhi, toll now 57
December 22nd, 2009 - 8:52 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Dec 22 (IANS) A 23-year-old woman died of swine flu in Delhi Tuesday, taking the total number of deaths due to influenza A (H1N1) to 57, health officials said.
“The woman died in the Safdarjung Hospital Tuesday morning,” Anjana Prakash, additional nodal officer handling swine flu cases in Delhi, told IANS.
Delhi also recorded 125 new swine flu cases on Tuesday.
“Among these, 67 were children. With this, the cumulative total number of cases in the city has risen to 8,501,” she said.
