senateWashington, Nov.22,(THAINDIAN NEWS) The US Senate voted to move the health care bill to move it further up the proceedings for being passed. All the Senators including the Democrats and the Independent Senators voted for the move. The Republicans, predictably, did not support the move and none of them voted in favor of it except one who missed the procedure. They have touted the Democratic idea of health care reform to be one that cuts costs by telling people that they can’t have it.

The Health care reform vote has been put up for debate in the Senate after a statement released by Senator Bob Corker. In his statement, he said that the current 2047 page health care system that involves taking money from Medicare, an almost insolvent establishment and creating a huge loan that would be burdened off to the future generations is completely a wrong idea. He completely condemned the resent bill, calling it dishonest and gimmicky. He noted that if the current bill is allowed to be carried on, it is most likely to cause a deficit in the budget in the decade following the year 2029.

The health care reform bill was sent to the floor after it was passed in the Senate. Senator Harry Reid secured the 60th vote by persuading Senator Blanche Lincoln by promising some funds for her state. However, Lincoln promised that the bill would be contested in the next step. The next vote on the bill will betaken sometime in late December. The government will decide whether to stop the debate and after that, the bill will be put to a real vote.
