Viagra usage survey in Britain
November 18th, 2010 - 3:24 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Nov 18 (IANS) A survey has found out which city in Britain buys the anti-impotence drug Viagra the most. And the winner is: Bristol.
To make matters worse, men in nearby Swindon need the sex-boosting drug the least, The Sun reported Thursday.
A survey of Viagra sales at Tesco stores showed that men in Solihull, London’s Lea Valley, Bursledon, Hants, and Chesterfield were also facing a challenge in the bedroom.
“There’s been a strong overall demand since it went on sale in September, but the highest demand by far is in Bristol.
“We’ve seen the highest demand in the south with sales in northern England also pretty high. The lowest is in Northern Ireland then Scotland,” Shona Scott, the supermarket’s pharmacy services commercial manager, was quoted as saying.
The top ten cities in terms of sales included Blackpool, Portsmouth, Altrincham, York and Thurrock, and Essex.
After Swindon, low sales were seen in Cambridge, Watford, Bury and Aberdeen.
Erectile dysfunction is a common sexual problem and affects around 2.3 million men in Britain.
