A fresh investigation has emphasized that the males, who consume these drugs to rectify erectile dysfunction, may augment their likelihood of suffering from hearing loss. The study, which was anchored in a national sample of 40-plus males in America, unearthed that slightly more than one in six of those males, who employed Viagra-like drugs, were either victims of deafness or had significant hearing problems.

Gerald McGwin, an epidemiologist in the University of Alabama at the Birmingham School of Public Health, articulated that one out of three, who consumed these drugs, had encountered loss in hearing.

Dr. James E. Saunders is an ear physician with the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He mentioned that, in spite of the earlier black box admonition about possible hearing loss due to these drugs, these new consequences of the investigation have enlarged the anxiousness over them. He mentioned that, at this point in time, he would recommend patients with hearing loss not to consume the aforementioned drugs.
