Jammu, Aug 9 (IANS) Two students with suspected swine flu have been quarantined at a government hospital in Jammu, an official said Sunday.
“Two cases of suspected swine flu have been reported in Jammu,” Superintendent of Government Medical College Ramesh Gupta told IANS.

He said the students have been kept separately.

The students, one studying in Bangalore and the other in Pune, had come home for the summer break. One was staying at Kathua, about 80 km south west of Jammu, and the other at Nanak Nagar locality of this city.

Jammu and Kashmir is a tourist state and most tourists to the Kashmir Valley and pilgrims to Vaishno Devi shrine pass through Jammu city.

“We have set up centres to screen for swine flu at airports and railway stations,” a senior health official said.
