“At least 629 persons have been tested so far, of whom 80 are positive for Influenza A (H1N1),” an official statement said here.
The officials said a 15-year-old girl, who traveled from the US and had come to Delhi June 22 and finally reached Mumbai by train the next day, had tested positive.
The girl complained of fever, cough and running nose and reported to an identified health facility at Mumbai June 25.
In Delhi, an 18-year-old-girl tested positive. Without giving further details, the officials said she had come in contact with a person who was earlier infected with the virus.
She was admitted to a health facility in Delhi June 25, they said.
Of the 80 cases, seven are through human contacts.
Of the total 80 cases, 56 have been discharged. The rest of them remain admitted to identified health facilities, the officials said.
