Two admitted with swine flu symptoms in Rourkela

Another person died of suspected swine flu in Rourkela, a health official said Thursday evening.
“One person with respiratory problems died hours after he was admitted in the hospital. Since the patient had a travel history suspecting swine flu we have sent the swab samples for test,” said P.K. Rath, superintendent of CMS Hospital of Rourkela.
The deceased was from Jagada area of Rourkela. Two other who had accompanied the deceased to Nagpur have been admitted in the hospital with similar symptoms. Suspecting swine flu, they have been shifted to Indira Gandhi Hospital of Rourkela.
The swab samples have been sent for tests to the swine flu testing center at Regional Medical Research Center (RMRC).
“There are two suspected cases have come from Rourkela. We are keeping a close tab on the situation,” said Gopinath Mahalick, the director of health.
According the official figures, three deaths have been reported from the state so far.
