Top Beauty Product Ingredients To Avoid
October 2nd, 2010 - 3:13 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonOct 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Thanks to loopholes in some of the public health laws, cosmetics companies often use ingredients which are not the safest idea for people to put on their skin. In products from sunscreens to baby shampoos, these ingredients have often not even been tested.
Placenta is one of these ingredients. Extracts from the placentas of both humans and cows can give consumers glowing skin, lustrous hair, and breast cancer, according to ECW researchers.
Mercury is another of these harmful ingredients. Brain damage can be done even with low doses of mercury. it is often listed as the mercury preservative “thimerosal” and is sometimes found in eye drops as well.
Unbelievably, there are still beauty products which contain lead. Lead poisoning can have very adverse effects on the brain development of children, and is a neurotoxin.
Pthalates are chemical which can cause damage to sperm in males, feminizing of boys, or infertility. Women who are pregnant should most definitely watch for this ingredient.
