Three swine flu deaths in Chandigarh
December 9th, 2009 - 1:23 am ICT by IANSChandigarh, Dec 8 (IANS) Three deaths due to swine flu were reported in Chandigarh Tuesday, health officials said.
“All the three victims were admitted in the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). One of them was a resident of Sector 29 in Chandigarh while others were from Patiala and Hoshiarpur towns in Punjab,” G.C. Bansal, a health official here, told IANS.
“Besides, seven new patients tested positive for swine flu here today (Tuesday),” he said.
So far, over 175 people have tested positive for swine flu in hospitals in this union territory.
