Three dengue deaths in Orissa
August 9th, 2011 - 1:20 am ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Aug 8 (IANS) At least three people including a woman died of dengue in Angul district of Orissa, an official said Monday.
The dengue outbreak is concentrated in Angul, deputy director of state health department Bikash Patnaik told IANS.
While one death occurred Sunday, two others died Saturday, he said adding the deaths were however confirmed only Monday.
Eight more patients have tested positive for the mosquito-borne virus mostly from the same region, taking the total people infected during the past two weeks to 37, according to latest official figure, he said.
The state government Monday deputed five mobile medical units, five doctors and 30 health workers to the affected areas.
