Three Chandigarh students get swine flu
November 20th, 2009 - 2:41 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Nov 20 (IANS) Three students of different schools here have tested positive for influenza A (H1N1) virus, an official said Friday.
“We had collected the throat and nasal swab samples of these students yesterday (Thursday) and their reports have come positive. One of these is a Class 11 student who went to South Korea a few days back,” nodal officer for swine flu H.C. Gera said Friday.
So far, Chandigarh hospitals have received over 460 suspected cases, of which 116 tested positive. These include over 50 students studying in different educational institutes here.
Attendance in most schools and colleges is affected as a growing number of students are catching the infection.
