Swine flu kills one more in Orissa, toll 9
August 16th, 2010 - 11:03 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Aug 16 (IANS) The swine flu toll in Orissa rose to nine Monday with the state government confirming the death of a 32-year-old man in a government hospital due to H1N1.
The man died Saturday at Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Medical College and Hospital at Burla in Sambalpur district. “His swab report came today (Monday) and it was found positive,” a senior state health official told IANS.
At least three more people were tested positive for the swine flu Monday, taking the total number of people with the infection in the state to 38, he said.
Only 18 of them are undergoing treatment in various private and government hospitals, the official said.
