Swine flu in NCR: Now, DPS Ghaziabad shuts senior wing
September 24th, 2009 - 8:56 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Ghaziabad, Sep 24 (IANS) Delhi Public School (DPS) at Indirapuram in Ghaziabad Thursday announced closure of its senior wing after two more students were reported to be infected with the swine-flu virus, officials said.
Two days back, the school authorities announced closure of the primary wing after two children were found infected with the swine flu virus.
School officials Thursday announced closure of the school till Sep 28.
“A total of four students have been reported infected. We have closed down as a precautionary measure. All infected students are from the primary section. All these students are under treatment and belong to Mayur Vihar, Preet Vihar, Vikas Marg and Vishwas Nagar area of Shahdara,” school principal Meeta Rai said.
“We have undertaken every possible measure to deal with the situation,” she added.
The school has around 5,300 students from Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad.
