New York, May 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A new study says that the female Viagra – Flibanserin works and it also increases the sex drive in women. So there is absolutely no wonder that it is being called the ‘Female Viagra’. The new study was published in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the results were quite encouraging to say the least. The researchers of the study found that the pill boosts the sexual drive of women. During the course of the study, the researchers studied women who were given a 6-month treatment with the pill, because they had very low libido. And at the end of the treatment cycle, they reported that they had a greater sexual appetite.

However even though it has been dubbed the ‘Female Viagra’ yet it still needs approval and the green signal from the FDA, as it was initially used as an anti-depressant.

There were two studies, and though one of them showed that the pill managed to increase the libido in women in 6 months, another study reported that they had achieved the same results in just 1 month itself.

According to CBS News, Dr. Jennifer Ashton said that, “You want to get at the root problem. If it’s something like depression or a medication side-effect, deal with those things and hopefully you’ll see an improvement in your sex life.”
