South Korea reports ninth swine flu death
September 18th, 2009 - 11:32 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Seoul, Sep 18 (Xinhua) An 81-year-old woman has died of swine flu in South Korea Friday, raising to nine the number of fatalities from the viral disease in the country, health officials said.
The victim belonged to the South Jeolla province.
The patient was infected with the swine flu virus Sep 3.
South Korea reported its first case of swine flu death Aug 15.
Till date, 9,968 swine flu cases have been reported in South Korea since the outbreak of the disease in May.
