Sex wonder pill to be sold in Britain
April 26th, 2010 - 12:56 pm ICT by IANSLondon, April 26 (IANS) A pill that prevents premature ejaculation is all set to be launched in Britain with “the potential to do as much for men’s sexual health as Viagra”.
The Sun reported Monday that the Priligy tablet is to be taken one to three hours before sex and it is shown to make men last three times as long. It is available for men aged 18 to 64.
The drug, costing 76 pounds for a pack of three 30mg tablets, works by changing the levels of a chemical in the brain, which helps a man to have more control over delaying the moment.
It is estimated that nearly 30 percent of the British men are affected by premature ejaculation.
Men can get a prescription for the tablet after an online consultation at Lloyds-pharmacy.com.
“Priligy has the potential to do as much for men’s sexual health as Viagra. It will give sufferers a chance to improve the quality of their relationships and their general wellbeing,” Nitin Makadia, head of male sexual health at Lloyds-pharmacy, was quoted as saying.
“It has been well received by men elsewhere in Europe and we are really pleased to be bringing this treatment to the UK.”
