Sex addiction affects work life too
April 17th, 2010 - 6:51 pm ICT by IANSLondon, April 17 (IANS) Sex addiction affects the work life of an individual as those affected may sit up through the early hours on chat rooms and sex sites, or find other ways to fulfill their needs, an expert says.
Twenty-seven percent of sex addicts readily admitted that they have lost career opportunities, Michelle Zelli, London-based Life Coach for the Mind, Body & Spirit and certified hypnotherapist, says.
During sex, our bodies release a powerful cocktail of chemicals that make us feel good. But some people get addicted to these chemicals and should seek help, she adds.
Most addictions begin as a happy habit that get out of control - this extends to eating, shopping, exercise, work, drugs, alcohol and much more.
If somebody has such an addiction and has tried unsuccessfully to take control, it is time to seek help, Zelli says.
