Samsung warned that if any of the viewers or any of their family members had any history of epilepsy or stroke then they ought to consult a medical doctor, before watching 3D TV, because they are at a risk of experiencing an epileptic seizure or stroke if they view flashing images or pictures having light in the 3D TV.
Samsung also advised the viewers to immediately stop watching 3D TV if they experience any symptoms such as altered vision, lightheadedness, dizziness, involuntary movements such as eye or muscle twitching, confusion, nausea, loss of awareness, convulsions, cramps and/or disorientation. They specifically warned the parents that the children and the teenagers would be more prone to experience the discomforts than the adults.
Samsung also warned their viewers that watching TV in the 3D mode may also cause motion sickness, perceptual after effects, disorientation, eyestrain, and decreased postural stability. They said that the viewing should not be resumed till the discomfort has completely stopped.
