Prahlad Jani Amazes Doctor By Living Without Food Or Water

May 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A holy man from India has completely shocked and amazed his team of doctors by surviving without any food or water for two weeks. The 83 year old man claims that he has not had a bite to eat at all for 70 years. These claims led the medical staff of 30 doctors to place him under constant surveillance to test his claims. Those doctors now claim that he has gone for two weeks under surveillance with no food or water.
Prahlad Jani was in the hospital in Ahmedabad, India for 15 days and reportedly did not eat, drink, nor use the bathroom. “We still do not know how he survives,” neurologist Sudhir Shah said at the end of the experiment. “It is still a mystery what kind of phenomenon this is.” Jani was sealed in a ward by the Indian Defense Research and Development Organization for the study. The DRDO hopes to be able to use the research they gain from studying this man to help them discover ways that soldiers can survive without food or water, astronauts could be assisted, or people trapped in natural disasters could survive for longer, until help could arrive.
“If Jani does not derive energy from food and water, he must be doing that from energy sources around him, sunlight being one,” neurologist Sudhir Shah said. “As medical practitioners, we cannot shut our eyes to possibilities, to a source of energy other than calories.”
