Porn actors required to don condoms while filming adult movies?

Los Angeles, Mar 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) If the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board has its way, then it would soon become mandatory for porn actors to don condoms while filming adult movies. On Thursday the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board will hear a petition regarding the condom usage in porn films.
The porn actors say that this is a landmark step in the porn industry, and if it is made mandatory to use condoms while filming the porn flicks, then they would be safe against the sexually transmitted diseases. However they are also against the move, as they feel that the audience wouldn’t appreciate it, and the audience numbers would further decline. They say that they have already lost a substantial amount of viewership to the online porn media.
Michael Weinstein is the president of the advocacy group which wants condom usage to be made compulsory, said that it is the responsibility of the state to regularize the condom usage in the porn industry, just like the way it regulates other laws in other workplaces. He also added that if the condom usage is approved then it would go a long way in protecting the porn stars against the sexually transmitted diseases esp. AIDS and HIV.
