Polyclinic at Games Village to open till Sunday
October 15th, 2010 - 8:25 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 15 (IANS) The polyclinic which provides medical services to athletes and team officials at the Commonwealth Games Village round-the-clock will remain open till Sunday, Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia said Friday.
Walia appreciated the health officials for their services during the Games. “They did excellent work. We are happy that the medical facilities have been appreciated by the athletes and officials,” she told IANS.
“There were no dengue cases either,” she added.
Walia said the polyclinic will remain open till Sunday as many athletes and officials will be there at the Village.
The medical facilities at the Village, which housed nearly 7,000 athletes and delegates during the Oct 3-14 Games, have got all-round praise. The players and delegates have termed the facilities “world class” and “modern”.
