Pet frogs blamed for Salmonella outbreak

Atlanta, Dec 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) For the latest Salmonella outbreak, pet frogs are being blamed. This recent outbreak has being the root cause for the sickness of at least 48 people.
The illnesses of these 48 people occurred from June to November, with the illness reports coming in from at least 25 states. Health officials found that many of the people said that they had been in contact with frogs such as the African dwarf frog.
The outbreak was reported on Monday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And all the suspecting fingers pointed to the pet frogs.
It may be recalled that pet reptiles have been found as the root cause of salmonella infection before too. And at least 107 people had taken ill in a recent outbreak, which was subsequently blamed on the turtles.
